Thailand (Formerly known as Kingdom of Thailand) is a
country in Southeast
Asia. To its east, lie Laos
and Cambodia;
to its south, the Gulf
of Thailand and Malaysia;
and to its west, the Andaman
Sea and Myanmar.
Its capital and largest city is Bangkok,
one of the largest cities in the world. At 514,000 km²
(198,000 sq
mi), Thailand is the world's 49th-largest country. It is
comparable in size to Spain,
and somewhat larger than the US state of California.

trip to Bangkok - Grand Palace For just about
150 years, Bangkok's Grand Palace was not only the home of the
King and his court, but also the entire administrative seat of
government. Within the crenelated walls were the country's war
ministry, state departments, and even the mint. Thai Kings

day trip to Ayutthaya -
Ayutthaya was built at the junction of the Lopburi, Pasak
and Chao Phraya Rivers. These served as city moats, creating a
strong natural barrier, enclosing an area 4 km wide. A network
of canals was dug to supply water and provide transportation.
Sturdy walls of brick were built to surround the city, with 500

is the Thai name of this market and it is often found in
international articles and movies about Bangkok showing elderly
women in hats are selling food and other goods directly from the
boats. The market is found about 100 kilometers from Bangkok and
a feeling of anticlimax has been the case for some visitors......

Wat Pho

Bangkok's 400 wats, Wat Pho is best known for its celebrated
