The type of project, the company, the organizational structure and other factors impact the role of the project manager, but there will always be some element of leadership in the position. The PMBOK Guide ® Fourth edition defines ” Leadership involves focusing the efforts of a group of people toward a common goal and
enabling them to work as a team." Although important throughout all project phases, effective leadership is a contributor to the project success. Dr. Nath, CITPM, Ph.D. presented the real leadership skills that kick in that include: enabling others, communication, flexibility, proactivity, control of his emotions, ability to sell, innovate and to “enable others", including leadership models, personality and situational factors that influence effective leadership and organizational impact.
Dr. Indranil Nath, is a Partner and Managing Director of Financial Services Practice.  Dr. Nath is a senior executive with extensive experience in managing the five-mega process of an organization - People, Knowledge, Sales, Service and Culture and project teams, implementing and overseeing technology programs, and administrating multimillion-dollar budgets. Possess an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and their commercial applications. He has been responsible for business turnarounds and change management initiatives including formation of new business portfolio, merger integrations. Dr. Nath took his graduate studies in Japanese & Linguistics and post-graduate studies in Management Sciences and a Doctorate in Engineering & Technology Management. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Training & Development from Indian Society Training & Development. Dr. Nath is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, London, UK, Member of Project Management Institute, Pennsylvania, USA, The Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, New Jersey, USA and Visiting Lecturer of Management Systems & Strategy at Graduate School of International Management, International University of Japan.
